Pigmentation Appearance Care

An appearance-focused protocol for the kind of uneven tone that builds gradually across sun-exposed areas. Daily SPF is positioned as part of the protocol itself, because the result depends on it from the next morning onward.

Pigmentation Appearance Care

Professional care objective

A more even-looking tone, sun-aware by design

The objective is to support a more even-looking skin tone for clients whose unevenness is appearance-focused and gradual, not a diagnosed pigment disorder. Daily SPF is positioned as part of the protocol because the result depends on it.

  • Support a more even-looking tone across sun-exposed areas
  • Address the appearance of gradual, sun-related unevenness (no medical claims)
  • Reinforce daily SPF as part of the protocol, not as a separate recommendation
  • Plan a maintenance schedule that fits how the client actually lives

Suitable client profile

Who this protocol is designed for

Clients whose uneven tone has built gradually and is appearance-focused - not clients with a diagnosed pigment disorder, which needs medical review.

  • Gradual, appearance-focused unevenness (cheeks, forehead, around the eyes)
  • Clients willing to commit to daily SPF as part of the result
  • Clients prepared for a planned series followed by quarterly maintenance
  • Not a treatment for melasma, vitiligo, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or pigmented lesions

Workflow overview

Area-by-area tone protocol with a daily-SPF boundary

The protocol divides the face into the areas where uneven tone typically shows (cheeks, forehead, around the eyes, jawline) and is built around a daily-SPF boundary: the result means nothing if the client skips SPF the next morning.

  1. 1

    1. Map the uneven areas

Mark the areas of uneven tone and agree the appearance objective with the client. Daily SPF is part of the agreement.

  2. 2

    2. Surface preparation

Cleanse and prepare. No actives or exfoliating products are used on the day.

  3. 3

    3. Work area by area

Each uneven area is worked at the same pace so no zone is over- or under-treated. The practitioner checks the visual response between areas.

  4. 4

    4. Reinforce the daily routine

The session ends with a clear daily SPF reminder and a written note of the recommended product. Skipping this step breaks the result.

  5. 5

    5. Plan the next session

Sessions are spaced at intervals that match the client's skin and the season. Maintenance is scheduled before sun-heavy periods, not after.

Daily SPF is part of the protocol. We do not run this protocol on clients who cannot commit to daily sun protection in the morning.

Recommended applicators

Applicators for uneven-tone work

Precision and broad applicators are combined so the practitioner can switch between limited zones (around the eyes) and larger areas (cheeks, forehead) within the same session. The precision-needle applicator is available where the practitioner plans targeted work on a single, isolated area.

Scalp Plasma

Scalp Plasma

40–45°C argon plasma with a wider contact surface. Reusable for approximately 8–10 sessions with proper cleaning and disinfection.

DermaPlasma

DermaPlasma

80–140°C argon plasma with short-needle micro-stimulation. Single use per client.

Roller Plasma (Small)

Roller Plasma (Small)

80–140°C argon plasma with short-needle micro-stimulation. Single use per client.

Gold Plasma

Gold Plasma

Precision-needle contact. Reusable with proper cleaning; replace if the needle becomes damaged, bent or worn.

Treatment demonstration

Treatment demonstration

A short, muted clip showing the area-by-area coverage and the SPF reminder at the end of the session.

Precision applicator demonstration Targeted work with a point applicator on a limited area.

Expected cosmetic experience

What the session looks and feels like

Clients describe the protocol as comfortable and methodical. Visible evening of tone builds across the planned series - it does not happen after a single visit - and depends on daily SPF from the next morning.

  • Comfortable sensation during the session
  • Visible evenness builds over a series, not a single visit
  • Daily SPF is part of the protocol - skipping it reverses the trajectory
  • Maintenance is scheduled before the sun-heavy season, not after

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Will this fade my melasma?

No. The protocol is for appearance-focused, gradual unevenness. Diagnosed pigment conditions (melasma, vitiligo, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) need medical review.

Why is daily SPF part of the protocol?

Because the appearance of uneven tone that builds gradually is sun-driven. Skipping SPF for a week undoes several sessions of progress.

How many sessions before I see a difference?

A planned series, typically 6-8 sessions, builds the visible result. A single session gives a finish, not a change.

Will the result last?

With daily SPF and a quarterly maintenance session, the appearance is maintainable. Without either, it is not.

Intended for professional cosmetic use. Regulatory status and permitted claims vary by market.
